Vacation Destination: Atlantis Paradise Island, Bahamas

There will be a need to travel because the Atlantis is located on Paradise Island in the Bahamas. Called the Atlantis Paradise Island, this vacation resort has so much to offer and so many activities that it’s probably one of the only resorts in the world where you’ll need a map to even get around!

Accommodation comes in different types but all is of the highest standard. The first amenities for guests were opened at The Beach Tower. This is recommended for families with teenagers, staying at the Atlantis Paradise Island. It contains Club Rush, where teenagers can dance, watch TV or a movie and use the Internet. There is also The Lazy River tube ride and a buffet, appealing to the young, called Seagrapes. The rooms here are all standard and are at the cheaper end of the tariff.

The great draw for kids is the waterslides, particularly the huge Mayan Temple Slides. These can keep them occupied for hours. One important tip: Make sure everyone has swimsuits without metal rivets, zippers, studs, etc. These are not allowed on the slides, and you’ll be charged a fortune to buy an acceptable swimsuit at the resort. The Atlantis Kids Club has a variety of options for children aged 3 through 12, so your kids can be safe and supervised while they have fun, and while you hit the more grownup entertainment.

There is plenty for guests to do and see, whether they want to relax or be more active. The Aquaventure waterscape opened in 2007 and contains slides, lazy rivers, rapids, underground caverns and a rock climbing wall. There are other water parks at the Atlantis Paradise Island, such as The Current and The Power Tower. The Mayan Temple Slides at the Royal Towers are water slides, one of which is a clear tunnel that goes through a lagoon filled with sharks.

The Dig is a delightful attraction for people interested in marine life. It contains various aquariums located underneath the lobby at the Royal Towers and is the largest open-air marine environment in the world. Species on view include sharks, manta rays, jellyfish, stingrays and barracudas.

When it comes to choosing from the many Caribbean hotels available, there is one that looks like a lot of fun and that is the Atlantis on Nassau’s Paradise Island. This stunning Caribbean beach resort is based on the theme of the legendary Atlantis. If you’ve ever wanted to add a little bit of fantasy to your vacation and step into another world, this is the place to go.
