There are other destinations on the east coast beside just ones in Florida. Although Florida is a very popular tourist destination, it is not the only choice for those with vacations on their mind.

There are other destinations on the east coast beside just ones in Florida. Although Florida is a very popular tourist destination, it is not the only choice for those with vacations on their mind.

Georgia has plenty to offer. There is a long coastline with plenty of choices in beaches, there is also a large city called Atlanta that has plenty to do. Atlanta has plenty of local events, but they also have a professional football team, basketball team, hockey team and a baseball team. It doesn’t matter what time of year you visit, there is always a sporting event to go to. Along with the big city, there are also smaller towns and old world charm in places like Savannah. Savannah has the charm and feel of an old southern town, which can make you feel right at home.

Next stop would be South and North Carolina. These states also do not lack in beaches, but they are also home to many mountains and some of the most beautiful scenery. There is a lot to see and do in these states, and you can even stop at South of the Border, located in between the two states, for some family fun for all ages.

If these things aren’t enough, keep moving up the coast and I am sure you will find even more great things to do. Virginia is the next stop and has plenty of things to offer a traveler or vacationer. It also puts you really close to our nations capital, Washington D.C. With all the monuments and museums in D.C., it could take a normal person weeks just to see every exhibit in the Smithsonian.

Up north a little further and you are in the “big apple”. NYC is one of the most famous destinations to visit by both New Yorkers and those that live out of the state. From Broadway to Rockefeller Center there is so much to see and do that you will never have a dull moment.

Using the Internet, a savvy bargain hunter can find the best deals on tickets to just about anywhere and even cheap last minute airfares.

There are so many sights to see and experience in Europe that when you go,you will want to experience it all. However, it can be very expensive to get from country to country, so it’s smart to plan ahead. By planning ahead, you can make the trip more affordable. Thanks to competition among airlines, it is possible to get low cost airlines and with the advent of technology, travelers can now search the Internet to easily find the cheap fares.

In the past the only way to obtain cheap flights to Europe was through a travel agent. The travel agents had access to information that you did not such as which airlines were offering discount tickets and which days were the cheapest to fly. These days the internet has brought many great ways to get this information all with a simple click of the mouse.

As a response, travel agencies are now starting to move more of their business activity onto the Internet. In order to stay competitive, some travel agencies have their own websites, where they can advertise special deals. This means that it is easier for travelers to be able to access these deals and do a side-by-side comparison with other specials that may be available online. In some cases, to avoid fees, travelers can also book their fares directly from airlines.

Using the Internet, a savvy bargain hunter can find the best deals on tickets to just about anywhere and even cheap last minute airfares. And one can find any type of flight they wish, as well: don’t like to fly all night? Then don’t. Find a flight with a stop somewhere, or vice versa. Many airlines also allow, if it’s early enough, travelers to choose their seats and what menu options they would prefer (some airlines require that vegetarians select their special meal status ahead of time). And if one is not comfortable checking in at an airport kiosk and having the tickets printed out there, they can even be mailed to you in advance.

Trip planner websites are the most popular with internet travelers. These sites allow you to find your hotel, flight and even rental car while booking your trip. You can create a whole vacation package by adding on any activities you will be interested in and receiving a discounted ticket price by purchasing them before arriving. You can sort trips by price, date and even class. The trip can be easily compared to other sites offering the similar packages online.

A new phenomenon of bidding sites have emerged and now it is possible to book trips to Europe by using auction sites, the traveler has more flexibility to set the price. The way it works it that travelers can bid on a trip and the winning bidder just has to add the appropriate taxes and fees. Keep in mind that you may not win everything that you bid on and there may be some date limitations but when it works out, it can be a great deal. Make sure to do your research ahead of time so that you’re not caught in a bidding war.

Purchasing a ticket directly through the airline is another option for getting a cheap flight to Europe. Many customers like to give their date to the airline and obtain a ticket that way, but you may not be getting the best deal. There are many airlines and to know if you are getting the best rate you have to contact them all and this can be time-consuming. You will also miss the package deals where you receive discounted hotels and activity tickets that you would have received on the planning sites.

Rio De Janeiro, Brazil beat out the US choice of Chicago, Illinois along with Tokyo, Japan and Madrid, Spain to earn the right to host the games so South America will host the Summer Olympic Games for the first time in 2016

South America will host the Summer Olympic Games for the first time in 2016, as Rio De Janeiro, Brazil was awarded the honor on Friday. Rio beat out the US choice of Chicago, Illinois along with Tokyo, Japan and Madrid, Spain to earn the right to host the games. Despite a high pressure effort from the American power elite–ncluding President Barak Obama and TV gabfest queen Oprah Winfrey–Chicago was the first city eliminated from contention. Tokyo was the next to go, before Rio got the nod over Madrid in the final round of balloting.

Bookmakers offered odds on the host city choice, with Rio listed as second favorite at +200. Chicago had been the wagering favorite at most books, particularly after President Obama got involved personally in the US bid effort. Chicago was bet as high as a -300 favorite, while Madrid and Tokyo were priced in the +250 range. Some suggest that Tokyo didn’t deserve to have such short odds, but was the beneficiary of regional pride from the notoriously enthusiastic betting population of Japan. Despite some media attention to the betting odds, bookmakers reported that they didn’t receive a lot of action on the event.

Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva, President of Brazil, got the better of his US counterpart with a passionate speech that stood in marked contrast to Obama’s typically baleful collection of talking points:

It is a time to address this imbalance. It is time to light the Olympic cauldron in a tropical country.

The Olympic committee was apparently swayed by this presentation and paid no mind to Rios many downsides. It is without a doubt the most dangerous of the finalist cities, where drug cartels and armed bands of thugs roam without impunity. Well do to Rio citizens are used to removing watches and jewelry before they drive anywhere lest they be targeted by carjacking brigands. Rios murder rate is also one of the highest in the world. Brazilian bid officials have stressed that security will be a priority at the games and it better be lest the Olympics turn into a bloodbath. For the time being, however, the mood in Rio was one of celebration with over 50,000 residents dancing and partying in the streets.

Some IOC members suggested that the summary dismissal of Chicago’s bid was more of a rebuke of the notoriously corrupt USOC. The last two Olympics held in the US were tainted by crime and corruption. The ‘96 Atlanta Olympics were disrupted by a terrorist bombing, while the 2002 Salt Lake City Winter Games were marred by a well known bribery and corruption scandal.

The Smoky Mountains have such beautiful views and natural beauty that will leave you happy, in shape and gratified for being outdoors - even in wintertime.

Smoky Mountains is a phenomenal destination to visit any time of year and offers best stunning views when covered by beloved snow during the winter months. It is simply a beautiful place to see, while also extending tons of wintertime adventure. If you are the open-air type, make plans to go skiing and hiking in the Smoky mountain this winter. It just does not get much better than this!

Standard Skiing at Ober Gatlinburg

Ober Gatlinburg has about eight ski trails with two known quad and one double chairlift. All this lifts can carry over 5,500 people per hour to assure you spend the majority of your time skiing instead of waiting in line or riding to the peak. If you are a beginner, then you are in luck. Ober Gatlinburg has two beginner runs. You have Cub Way, which is a 1,800-foot trail with a vertical drop of 13 feet. There is also Ski School where instructors will have you racing down the slopes in no time.

For the veteran skier, you just need to head up the mountain and try some of the other trails. Within range, are four intermediate slopes including the Castle Run at 1,100 feet with a 163-foot drop, to Ober Chute at 4,400 feet and a vertical drop of 556 feet. If you feel extra brave, then try the advanced slopes. You have the Grizzly that renders a thrilling 3,800-foot run with a drop of 556 feet. And remember to travel to the Mogul Ridge. It has 300 feet of moguls that will emphatically give you a work out.

Hiking the Smoky mountains in Style

If you relish walking, there are unseen hiking trails made to suit any age or ability. The Sugarlands Valley Nature Trail is a paved 3,000-foot loop made specifically for visitors with handicaps. It is also a popular attraction for families with older members or those with little ones in strollers. You can simply enjoy the beauty of the mountains whether you walk or roll.

If you are a beginner hiker, just try Laurel Falls Trail. At two and one half miles, it is the most popular waterfall trail in the park. Apart from winding your way through primarily virgin forest, you also get the added benefit of taking in the falls up close and personal. The beauty of your surroundings will make the experience all the more unforgettable.

If you are in need of something moderate, you might choose Hen Wallow Falls Trail. It is four miles long and makes a great, short day hike. You also have the Ramsay Cascades Trail that can put you to the test. This eight-mile trail takes you to the parks highest waterfall. Not only will you enjoy the breathtaking scenery, but you will most likely see some entertaining wildlife as well. Be ready to find White tail deer, which are particularly plentiful.

Particular Fire Tips For Hikers

There are distinct factors to remember when hiking during winter. Foremost, dress in layers. This will help guard against hypothermia. Secondly, be sure to drink plenty of water before starting any trail. Also check the length of the trail before starting out, because the longer your hike, the more water you should pack in order to keep hydrated. In Conclusion, make sure you have respectable hiking boots. Trails are known to be slippery from snow, ice or rain. You want a hiking boot that fits comfortably and gives you the grip you need.

The Smoky Mountains have such beautiful views and natural beauty that will leave you happy, in shape and gratified for being outdoors – even in wintertime. Design your wintertime getaway today by visiting some of the online resources here, so you can take advantage of all the Smoky mountains have to offer.

The best way to find your bearings in any new city is to do a "City Sights" tour. Brisbane has a "City Sights" tour which operates in the day time. There is also a Brisbane Lights Tour which showcases the spectacular night lights of Brisbane.

Brisbane is Queensland’s capital and a fabulous place to visit. But what to do when you get there? Here’s some suggestions:

Sightseeing bus tour The best way to find your bearings in any new city is to do a “City Sights” tour. Brisbane has a “City Sights” tour which operates in the day time. There is also a Brisbane Lights Tour which showcases the spectacular night lights of Brisbane.

Stay at a boutique hotel in Brisbane

While Brisbane does not have a massive amount of heritage buildings, a few of them have been beautifully restored as boutique hotels. These typically have modern amenities and luxury facilities. Boutique hotels have more space than other hotel rooms with a special ambiance not found at other Brisbane hotels. Situated in the heart of the city, the heritage listed Royal Albert Hotel is one of the best located of the boutique hotels in Brisbane.

Steak-out at the Brekky Creek Hotel The Brekky Creek Hotel (officially the Breakfast Creek Hotel) is about 15 minutes from the heart of the city by car. If you want the best char grilled steak in Brisbane, the Brekky Creek Hotel is the place to go! Choose your own steak from the array in the window, and sit in the Spanish beer garden while the chefs go to work. The trimmings, which haven’t changed for 40 years, include salad, bread roll and a jacket potato, but they like to leave enough room for your steak!

Australia Zoo

Just one hour from the heart of Brisbane Australia Zoo is more than a zoo. It is home to many communities of crocodiles, koalas, tigers, leopards, snakes, and elephants. Become a Wildlife Warrior by hand feeding the elephants. Watch the Crocoseum shows where you may see Terri, Bindi and Bob feed the crocodiles.

Lone Pine A great way to see Brisbane is to catch a boat from the city centre along the majestic Brisbane River to Lone Pine.

From echidnas to emus, wombats to wild lorikeets, kangaroos to koalas, Lone Pine is one of Australia’s oldest and best known animal sanctuaries. After spending a few hours cuddling a koala and hand feeding the kangaroos, you can return to the city by boat or bus.

Wheel of Brisbane Erected in 2008, the Wheel of Brisbane has become a land mark for Brisbane. Sit in air conditioned comfort with views around Brisbane as the world rotates below.

Bridges Brisbane has two relatively new bridges. The Goodwill Bridge connects the Botanical Gardens and Queensland University of Technology (QUT) to Southbank. This bridge was named after the Goodwill Games hosted by Brisbane in 2001.

The Kurilpa Bridge opened in 2009 and links Roma Street Parkland to QPAC (Queensland Performing Arts Centre), the Queensland Art Gallery and GOMA (Gallery of Modern Art). Kurilpa is the Aboriginal word for West End and means “the place for water rats”.

Both bridges have a reasonable amount of shade and are architecturally significant in their own right. It is a matter of time before the Kurilpa Bridge is nicknamed the Spiderweb.

Southbank – Botanical Gardens – Roma Street Parkland

Starting in Albert Street, walk down to the Botanical Gardens in Alice Street and explore the lakes and forests, or walk along the river through the mangroves. Walk up the hill through QUT and across the Goodwill Bridge as you admire the Brisbane River and city skyline. At Southbank you can walk through the 17 hectares of sub-tropical landscaped gardens and rainforest, swim in the city beach while enjoying the stunning CBD and river views. Walk along the Southbank Arbour, a spectacular steel framed structure constructed to support the bougainvillea vines which provide continuous shade. After crossing the Kurilpa Bridge, you will find the lush Roma Street Parkland. Roma Street Parkland is an oasis in the heart of Brisbane’s CBD, set over 16 hectares of green space and is the largest urban subtropical garden in the world. The Forest and Fern Gully offers the chance to explore a subtropical misty rainforest in the centre of Brisbane!

Exploring the river An easy way to explore the Brisbane River is by City Cat. Explore the university grounds at St Lucia, stop off for a XXXX (beer) at the historic Regatta Hotel (where you can smell the hops from the XXXX brewery), and stroll through the Sunday markets at Riverside. Other good stop offs especially for lunch include Bretts Wharf and Bulimba.

Cycle along the river There is an extensive network of shared cycle and pedestrian paths along both sides of the Brisbane River and elsewhere. This is a great way to see the city skyline and river, and healthy as well! Valet Cycle Hire will drop off your bikes to your Brisbane Boutique Hotel with suggested bike tours. The Brisbane City Council plan to have 150 bike parking stations across the city where bikes can be picked up and dropped off at little or no cost.

The second that you walk into the 1,200 person capacity Palace of Horses, you will be struck speechless by the magical atmosphere as you are taken to your seats, all of which offer spectacular views of the action onstage. Those who love horses will be delighted by the beauty and strength of the Arabian Horses, the charm of the Andalusian horses, the heavy Belgian horses and Percherons. Also featured are Painted horses, reminding one of the Old West and the star of the show – The Black Stallion. Familiar to all of us from films, television and Walter Farley’s books, The Black Stallion has become the symbol of the Arabian Nights Dinner Show – and with good reason; he never fails to impress visitors.

The food at a lot of dinner shows is somewhat lacking. Happily, this is not the case with the Arabian Nights Dinner Show. You can have your choice of Black Angus Chopped Steak, Grilled Chicken Breast, New York Strip Steak or a Primavera Pasta Bowl (which can also be prepared for vegans as well as vegetarians). A fresh, mouthwatering salad is also served as is a wonderful dessert. Bottomless beer, wine or Pepsi products are provided as well. If you have any special dietary requirements, simply notify the venue ahead of time and they can take care of you with no problem.

The Arabian Nights Dinner Show has been in the hands of Mark Galen Miller and his family from the very beginning 20 years ago and has developed into the most honored show of its kind in the world – regularly winning awards such as Best Theme Restaurant, Best Dinner Theater, Best Performing Arts Group and Venue – and many more. Because the show is constantly re-inventing itself and evolving because of the skilful introduction of new ideas, many people return time after time.

The whole family will be thrilled and entertained by the spectacle and magic of the Arabian Nights Dinner Show. This is a show which has it all, including spectacular choreography and peerless horsemanship. A chariot race during the show is sure to get your blood flowing; but the undoubted star of the whole show is The Black Stallion who even performs solo with nor halter or rider.

The Arabian Nights Dinner Show is the high point of any visit to Orlando and is one of the most memorable experiences imaginable. For an extra ten dollars per guest, you can upgrade to the VIP package including a complimentary drink before dinner in the VIP lounge and seats in the first three rows. Also included are a free poster for the show and the chance to get backstage and meet the stars yourself before the show begins.

Anyone who enjoys a thrill and the spectacle of live theater, the Arabian Nights Dinner Show is without question the go-to destination.

Located in the northern region, Taba Egypt rests along the Gulf of Aqaba in the Red Sea. Bordering Israel, it is the perfect weekend getaway for residents and visitors of both Egypt and Israel.

Discussing hotels is not really all that exciting, so allow me to introduce some fun stuff for you to do. I will only name a few of the many things you could do, because I don’t want to spoil all the surprises.

An impressive monument east of the Sinai peninsula is Castle Zaman. This memorial lies on the age old road between St Catherin’s Monastery and Jerusalem. The view from here is breath taking – mountains stretching into four different countries as far as the eye can see. If it’s food you are after, Zaman won’t disappoint – their stew made with meat and vegetables, with figs and dates is famous. But don’t be in a hurry, it takes a couple of hours to prepare.

Taba Egypt has plenty of things to do and see while you are there. The clear, unpolluted waters of the Gulf of Aqaba contain sea life that is second to none around the globe. You can enjoy a few hours at the beach, and then meander through the cafes and shops after a beach side lunch.

The next logical stop for attractions would be the Castle Zaman. This is a perfect place for couples to go and see Egypt’s neighboring countries from mountainous stronghold of days gone by. This attraction, while fun and beautiful, is not recommended for children. Other than the obvious, the castle also attracts people by offering a restaurant, lodging, a pool and a very well maintained bar all within the walls of the castle.

Lastly, you might take up some clubs and hit the greens of the Three Corners El Wakela Resort. This resort provides a challenging course for golfers of all skill types and maintains a majestic setting from hole one to eighteen. This brief article may not be enough to do Taba, Egypt justice. If you are looking for some really interesting settings for some once in a lifetime experiences, then you should put Taba on your list.

Not many people who have visited Europe have missed out Paris as it is one of the top destinations in the world. Most of the main attractions are in the center of Paris where just over two million people live although when you enter the suburbs, that figure rises to almost ten million. Paris is one of the most traveled cities in Europe, if not the world, today.

Paris has always been known as the world capital of art, fashion and culture and when new fashion designs hit the street you can bet they started in Paris first. Paris has also always been well known for its contributions to the world of art with many famous artists spending much of their lives living in the city.

While Paris has plenty of famous attractions there are three that stand apart from the rest and should always be seen no matter how many times you visit. These three are world famous, the Arc de Triomphe, Notre Dame Cathedral and of course the Eiffel Tower each of which has many hundreds of thousands of tourists visit them every year.

However, when it’s a museum you want to visit, it has to be the Louvre which happens to be one of the most popular and largest in the world. Some of the most well known paintings and works of art are either stored or displayed here including the infamous Mona Lisa which is just one reason to visit.

As far as the weather is concerned, most tourists are lucky and can visit at any time of the year without too many worries about any form of extreme weather. During the winter months of December and January temperatures may fall into the upper 30’s to the lower 40’s and in the summer months, July and August in particular, 75 degrees Fahrenheit is the average temperature so this makes for easy travel in Paris regardless of what time of the year it is.

Of the two airports Paris has, it is Roissy-en-France which is the most popular and one of the most frequently used on the European continent while the second airport, Orly, only has a fraction of the air traffic. The great benefit of using Roissy-en-France is that has connections to every major international airport around the world.

All types of people like to visit Paris and it is not difficult to see why as it promises something for everyone with an air of culture that should not be missed. Paris should always be considered as a vacation even if it is for a short city break.

When you’re in Paris, then why not visit Amsterdam also. By plain you can get there in 2 hours. In case you stay for several days, make sure you first check some Amsterdam apartments online. When that is arranged, you can enjoy your stay without worrying about this.
