Ecotourism Travel Destination: Kerala, India And Honduras

Taking a closer look at a particular ecotourism destination occasionally is a good way to keep our focus on what this growing industry is all about. One of the very special locations that might be attractive to most ecotourism fans is Kerala, a spot in India with quiet retreats and a pleasing climate.

According to those who have included Kerala in their touring plans, this fascinating location is already a favorite among those who choose to leave the traditional luxury destinations aside. Kerala is the scene of numerous festivals that are full of color, local customs and culinary delights. Many hotel guests are in awe of the “cloud forests,” tree-covered hills enveloped by a constant mist. Visitors are also attracted to the small towns that are popular with photographers and architecture enthusiasts. These communities are populated by friendly local people who generally welcome the respectful tourist. Outside these communities, visitors find a bird-watching paradise, beautiful beaches and jungle trails that put the visitor very close to the natural world of Honduras. This excellent ecotourism destination offers the best of both the Pacific and Atlantic ocean experience, with a temperate climate, crystal-clear blue water and sights unlike those anywhere else.

Kerala and Honduras are just two of the magnificent destinations increasingly included as ecotourism stops. Traveling to such locations to enjoy the beauty and preserve the environment – this is what ecotourism is about.
