How to Deduct Vacations On Small Business Taxes

By starting a home based business you get many tax deductions, including vacations. Read on to find out  how to deduct your vacations on small business taxes.

Recently I discovered a way to deduct my family’s vacation from my small business taxes. I started a home based travel business. This provides me with many tax deductions. As a tax accountant this immediately got my attention.

1. Pictures and Videos While visiting a travel destination my family and I will take pictures and make videos. Since I have an unincorporated home based travel business through Travelencia I can hire my family while we are on vacation.

2. Gotta Have An Itinerary. I have a 12 year old daughter named Natalie who is smart and creative. Aren’t all 12 year girls. I will put her on my small business payroll and hire her to prepare our vacation travel plans. Her job description is only to find fun and entertaining spots. These places must also offer a beautiful background for our videos and pictures.

3. Who Do You Call? After the trip itinerary is completed my wife puts a call into Travelencia. Here she makes all the arrangements. Our credit card stays in our wallets because Travelencia has 0% layaway financing.

4. Hire A Grip. Since we will be making videos and taking pictures we need people to handle all the equipment. Each time the video and camera equipment will need to be set up and taken down. This includes making sure the equipment is operational with batteries charged. My sons, Joseph (14) and Joshua (10), will be hired.

5. Next YouTube.com. With simple software that we all have access to the videos and pictures will be prepared for the internet. YouTube.com is free and an excellent marketing tool. We will all work together to edit and add our contact information.

6. Infinite Potential Forum. Lastly, I will go into the Infinite Potential Forum and make a post in the “Support My Marketing Efforts” section. This will move our videos up the page at YouTube.com as more and more people view them. This will generate traffic to our website which will lead to new sign ups.

Bill Gates has said that a working knowledge of the tax code is the greatest reason for his success. We have to learn to keep more of what we make so our wealth will grow.
