Like others who have commented, I felt compelled to take the time to write a comment to say that this recipe made the best French toast that I have ever made and as good as any I’ve ever eaten. Thank you so much for sharing this recipe. Now, when someone asks if I can make French toast? I will respond, “Ouí, ouí!! Only the best, but of course!!”

Hello, the batter should be fine with that added, if it starts feeling too thick you can add a splash of milk, but you may not need it. Enjoy!

I made the recipe this morning and it was delish. I did change a few things. Lower sugar content. Omit sugar and replace with 2 table sp of trivia. Used sourdough bread. And added allspice, ground cloves, apple pie spice and ground nutmeg, then add a dash of rum extract. Gives it an amazing flavor
