Why I love this recipe:
- Less than 30-Minute Meal – Boursin pasta is often my dinner solution on busy nights when I’m short on time and ingredients. It’s one of our favorites!
- Creamy – The boursin cheese makes the sauce so creamy, flavorful, and incredible.
- Picky Eater Approved – Every picky kid (or spouse) will devour this creamy pasta dish. We never have leftovers.
How to make Boursin Cheese Pasta:
Cook pasta in salted boiling water, according to package instructions, until al dente. Drain, but reserve pasta water.
Cook Chicken: Season chicken with salt and pepper. Heat a skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add olive oil. Add chicken and cook until browned, turning once, until cooked through (165 degrees F). Remove to a plate to rest for a few minutes, before chopping into pieces.

Make Boursin Cheese Pasta Sauce: Add butter to pan then fry shallots for 1 to 2 minutes, stirring constantly. Reduce heat to low. Add 1 cup reserved pasta water to the pan and scrape up any browned bits. Whisk in Boursin cheese until melted and smooth.

Assemble: Add cooked pasta and chicken to the pan then toss to evenly coat in sauce. Add a splash of pasta water, if needed, to thin the sauce then season with salt and pepper, if needed. Garnish with fresh parmesan and parsley then serve boursin pasta hot with homemade breadsticks and a wedge salad.

This pasta dish was so quick and easy to throw together. So delicious!!
This pasta was a win for the whole family. The kiddos loved the cheesy and creamy noodles. I appreciated the simplicity (and snacking on the Boursin before tossing it in the recipe). Next time around I would add some spinach and possibly veggies.
It’s quick and easy and a great use for leftover chicken or veggies in the fridge!
My husband’s first comment was this recipe is a keeper! It came together very easily. I chose to air fry my chicken instead of pan frying and that was even easier. The chicken was so tender and flavorful. I coated it with olive oil and Italian seasoning. The pasta had just the right amount of silky decadence without feeling too heavy. Definitely a great weeknight dinner or good enough for company too!
This is was perfect for 30 minute Thursday! Because I had leftover chicken breast it was even faster than that! The sauce was delicious and hubby was excited that there was enough left over for lunch today. Thank for the new easy go-to dish.
My family loves Boursin so I knew it would be a hit! And I was right, it was so good and everyone gave a big thumbs up!! What I loved was it was a quick weeknight meal that I could easily make and serve with a side salad and please my whole crew! This one is going into my meal rotations! Thanks Lauren!!
Made this for dinner last night and I must say it was very tasty. I have never tried Boursin cheese before and it kind of reminds me of a cream cheese loaded down with flavor. I could eat it with crackers alone it was so good. I paired this recipe with some roasted asparagus and mushrooms with garlic to help balance out the cream and starch. If you’re looking to try a cheesy and creamy pasta dish that’s a ray of sunshine in each bite, I’d recommend giving this one a try.
This was so tasty and easy! Rich and creamy. Definitely a dish you could make for company to impress. Tastes like you spent hours in kitchen.
quick & easy to make but imho not that good for the price of boursin, $8 a piece.. my kiddos loved it tho, also added broccoli for some veggies
Super tasty and versatile recipe! The boursin is so creamy and adds tons of flavor. I added some sun dried tomatoes, asparagus tips and sliced zucchini as well. Delish!
The dish came together so quickly and was perfect for a week night meal. It was creamy and paired deliciously with a salad and some side veggies. I plan on making this recipe again soon!
