Everybody loves these sweet-n-salty Peanut Clusters

I’d argue that what makes these the best peanut clusters recipe is the sneaky addition of pretzels, mixed with the peanuts. It’s absolutely delicious and the easiest no-bake dessert. This is a fun one for kids to make, and an easy gift for neighbors, teachers and friends.

And if you love making homemade candy as much as I do, you’ve gotta try our Homemade Caramels, Chocolate Turtles, Rocky Road, Graham Cracker Toffee, or Buckeyes.

Only Six Ingredients Needed:

All of the ingredients needed to make a peanut cluster candy recipe: peanuts, pretzels, peanut butter chips, chocolate chips, peanut butter, and butter.

How to make Peanut Clusters:

Melt chocolate: Mix chocolate chips, peanut butter chips, butter, and peanut butter in a large bowl. Microwave for 1-2 minutes on low power, stirring every 20 seconds until smooth (or use a double boiler and stir until melted). Don’t scorch the chocolate!

Add pretzels and peanuts to the melted chocolate mixture and gently stir to coat.

Drop spoonfuls of the peanut cluster candy recipe on the parchment lined baking sheet. Refrigerate for 30 minutes, until the chocolate is set.

Instructions

  • Prepare two baking sheets with parchment paper. Set aside.
  • Melt Chips: In a large bowl, mix together chocolate chips, peanut butter chips, butter, and peanut butter. Microwave on low power for 1-2 minutes, stirring every 20 seconds, until smooth (be careful not to scorch the chocolate!) You could also put everything in a double boiler to melt.
  • Add peanuts and pretzels to the melted chocolate mixture and gently stir to coat.
  • Drop spoonfuls of mixture onto prepared baking sheets. Refrigerate for 30 minutes, or until chocolate has set.
  • Store peanut clusters in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 1 month.

Notes

Chocolate: Be sure to use high quality chocolate chips (like Ghirardelli), or Bakers chocolate bars will work. I prefer semi-sweet, but you could use milk or bittersweet.

I’m allergic to palm oil and peanut butter chips usually have it in them. Should I just use different chocolate chips (like a mix of semisweet and milk)? Or could I put more peanut butter in it?

Made these for sweet treats day at the Hartford Fair in Croton, Ohio. Got 2nd place in the candy category. Thanks for the recipe!

Pretzels sound like a great addition to peanut clusters, but I am curious about the instruction to be kept refrigerated after the chocolate is set. I have made peanut clusters for years and they are fine stored in an air-tight container at room temperature, although my recipes have not included butter, which may be the issue.
