I am a vegetable lover, and spaghetti squash is one of my favorites. You can eat it plain, with some butter and salt and pepper. You can add some marinara sauce and eat it like spaghetti. You can even add some other stir-fried vegetables and chicken to it. It’s the perfect way to mix up your meals and get lots of nutrients from this yummy vegetable! Here’s a list of three different, easy ways to cook it. Enjoy!
Microwave
This is the easiest and quickest way to cook spaghetti squash. You simply slice the squash in half, scrape out the seeds, place each half in a microwavable bowl, cover the bowl with cling wrap, and cook for 8-10 minutes. Using a fork, pull the squash from the rind (it should come off easily) and empty into a bowl. Add 2 Tbsp. of butter, sprinkle with salt and pepper, and serve!
Bake
Cut the squash in half, scrape out the seeds, and place each half face up in the oven. Bake at 350 degrees F for one hour. Using a fork, pull the squash from the rind (it should come off easily) and empty into a bowl. Add 2 Tbsp. of butter, sprinkle with salt and pepper, and serve!
Boil
Boil a pot of water. Cut the squash in half lengthwise. Scape out the seeds. Place both halves skin side up and boil 10-15 minutes. Using a fork, pull the squash from the rind (it should come off easily) and empty into a bowl. Add 2 Tbsp. of butter, sprinkle with salt and pepper, and serve!
