Disney’s not blind to the fact that more and more kids have cellphones. Kids are decreasing they’re TV time. But that only means they’re spending more time with their cellphones.
The leading electronics magazine Wired is reporting that Disney has created a new web portal aimed at 9- to 14-year-olds.
On their latest web portal, they will be offering ringtones and wallpapers that can be bought directly on the teen’s and pre-teen’s cellphones.
Mini-games, like Pirates of Caribbean, will also be available.
Is this a good plan for Magic Kingdom Orlando?
Maybe. I’m not a big fan of marketing to the younger audiences in this fashion. But it makes good sense for Magic Kingdom Orlando.
